Claire Agutter has been an ITIL principal lecturer since 2007. She has been involved in exam panels for ITIL V2 and V3, and has provided online ITIL training to hundreds of successful Foundation delegates through IT Training Zone Ltd.

Title is accurate -- ITIL Foundation Essentials deliver

The title is accurate. The other ITIL books I've read (or at least skimmed) spend so much time idolizing ITIL that the meat needed to pass the exam is buried in the detail. Claire Agutter presents a terse, well-organized overview with a focus on what's needed to pass the Foundation exam. Those looking for an in-depth ITIL course, complete with justifications for implementing ITIL and replete with nuances, will be disappointed. Those wanting to pass the exam without fanfare will find what they need. (By the way, all of the illustrations in the book may be found online with a simple search.)

Used this book to study for about 2 hours daily for a month and took the test and passed with flying colors. This book really extracts only the most pertinent information into an easily digestable format. Save your money and buy this book and use online practice tests and you will pass.

Unreadable diagrams, poor quality printing

The book's format is too small to have readable disgrams.
The poor printing quality and cheap paper contributed to the readability issue.
Most diagrams were copies of disgrams that were essentially full page illustrations in the original documnets. When reduced to one quarter the original size they are usuless.
